The Narrows of the Virgin River, in Zion, is an awesome classic canyon. If you haven’t been, go as soon as possible. It can be done as either a day hike from the Riverside walk trail, or can be done leasurely as a 2 day 1 night backpacking trip point-to-point.
Check out this freshly discovered Deep Water Free Soloing area where we have been developing some new routes/problems. Beautiful climbing over the cold Colorado River, a surreal landscape. Featuring climbing by Todd Perkins, Lauren Lee, Spencer McCrosky, Chad Perkins, Isaac Caldiero, Seth Giles, Marie Green, and tons of rad people hanging out, drinking beers and stuff.
The Famously Infamous, Todd Perkins has recently climbed out the steep underbelly of a cave somewhere in the desert, in an area known as Sunset Alley in the Utah Hills. 5.14ish. Further dispatches to be prepared on the matter in coming weeks…
